It's very coincidental that this Friday within the Octave of Easter landed on April 25, traditionally the day of the Greater Litanies or Major Rogations.
If you’re a heathen your doubtful nature is your obstacle, ask God to help you overcome your difficulties. Being negative or attacking the truth won’t help you at your judgment.
“Don’t follow leaders/Watch your parking meters.” I don’t see true humility in any leadership. Think I don’t ask God? You miss the point of my comment. Cradle Catholic, schooled through HS and time in the seminary. It’s not my first rodeo. “Shoes Of The Fisherman.” The real Jesus would be too dangerous today as He was 20 centuries ago. 🙏🏻
Great article! To me, this just sounds exactly like what Our Lady was saying at Fatima- “Penance, penance, penance” for the sins of the world. That most definitely starts with all of and our personal holiness. Maybe everyone should offer up prayer and fasting not only for the Conclave, but also that the ENTIRE CHURCH will take up those same weapons of prayer and fasting, too.
Why should we prepare for the worst? Who do you think is in charge, Dr. Evil? Sorry man, I applaud your zeal but this is a little silly. The Church has survived for 2000 years without your help, or mine. It’ll be just fine without the scare tactics. If Catholics want to worry about the enemies of the Church, they should all look in a mirror and say “I declare war!” (That’s true for all of us, I’m not exempting myslef). LEt’s stay out of the Holy Spirit’s way and focus on going to war against ourselves, growing in holiness (acts, spirituality, sacraments), and putting in a good day, every day. It’s really that simple, and believe me that’s challenging enough, if you’re doing it right. The Church needs saints.
Be calm, be cool, be confident in the Holy Spirit. God keep you, brother.
Excelent advice brother in Christ. I as an old man(71) have tendency to criticize,to notice errors on the Clergy. I guess is because I see them as our shepards, and most of them acted like is just a job, it bother me. But again, you're right, Pope or no pope, good pope or bad pope, we got to fallow Jesus Teachings, learn the faith and stay true to the church, even if the housekeepers are not so good. Going back and digging dirt on dead popes doesn't do us any good, as long we working on to became saints, it's all good. Except for the Grace of God, there's I. Learned this from Father Corapis talking video, about humility.
It’s not burying your head in the sand to believe what Jesus said about preserving his church. These are dark times but in many ways they’re aren’t as dark as the periods that the Spirit has already brought the Church through, and with great success, all without our intervention. If people want to help the world and the church, they need to be holy. The formula is really that simple.
Since the Second Vatican Council is illegitimate thus, heretical, outside of biting the VERY DIFFICULT bullet of becoming Sedevacantist, what CAN you hope for?
In my view, your presupposition is in error, therefore the conclusions do not follow. Vatican II is an ecumenical council, as even the SSPX acknowledge. However, it’s an extremely complicated event, both historically and theologically.
Consider, for example, a Traditional Scotist or Eastern Catholic view of Vatican II. In their view, this council in fact is more traditional than Vatican I because it restores a pre-Trent view towards both Scotus and the Greek fathers, and especially combats the error of hyperüberultramonstanism.
Greetings, I try to practice my faith, therefore NOT to be presumptuous. If your referring to yourself, my question is do you think the Second Vatican Council is legitimate? If it is what about pachama? The SSPX recognizes the Vatican II council " popes". If your referring about the Second Vatican Council, I'm afraid your the one being "presumptuous". Your assuming a knee jerk, ignorant, reaction on my part, without careful study and reflection on my part. And my subsequent taking the theological position of Sedevacantism NOT out of phariseism, but out of a profound love and respect for Our Lord and His Blessed Mother and True Catholicism. I hope this clarifies my comment. By the way, coming to truth is simple, it's losing our ego and stepping outside our comfort zone that's hard.
How can one call John Paul II and Benedict XVI 'holy' if they failed so miserably in the primary task which God entrusted to them which was to govern the Church and protect the flock?
For many reasons, but here are a two: 1.) personal holiness can exist with a complete failure as pope, which requires lots of administrative acumen that most men lack and 2.) we are bound by charity to assume the best unless we have grave and manifest cause otherwise.
Nevertheless, I’m not claiming JP2 or B16 are holy. I am merely saying that it is reasonable to claim they were, and if they were, they also were not enough.
I cannot judge their holiness and am still studying these figures to have an informed opinion about them.
Hello brother! God is VERY present in all the darkness, since He Himself entered into the darkness long before any of these people were born! See my book: When the Gates of Hell Prevail: What Catholics Do in Dark Times https://amzn.to/406d0cq
I agree Catholics worldwide need to repent. They need to repent for sacrificing their patrimony on the altar of wealth, power, political influence, secular prestige, sexual perversion, intellectual fashion, and institutional arrogance. Francis and each of his acolytes embody, every one of those characteristics, which have infected the Church for far too long, and I mean centuries.
But the idea that “we get the bishops we deserve” is nothing but codependent garbage. It shifts the blame from the people in charge to the people who have no ability to hold the people in charge accountable. Who, in their right mind believes Catholics deserve such theological and sexual perverts as Bergoglio, Fernandez, Cupich, McCarrick, Martin, McElroy, Hollerich, Tobin, Wuerl and the entire German hierarchy, for starters?
For that matter, Wojtyla’s personal holiness is irrelevant if he 1) appeases Islam 2) encourages syncretism 3) refuses to confront clerical sex abuse forthrightly 4) ignores the plight of Middle Eastern Christians persecuted by Muslims 5) engages in unilateral and arbitrary theological revisionism concerning capital punishment for murder. All of these things he did. For you to say that he was personally holy yet did all of these things is a non sequitur in the extreme.
Except for the Mercy of God, there goes I. Humility brother, God Is the only Judge. It bothers me seeing the Popes not being firm on Jesus Teachings. I whish they say as it's: The Roman Catholic Church which Is Christ, is the only way to His Kindom. Any pope that profess otherwise is a false teacher. And let hell break loose. But, we will not see or hear it from them. Until the three days of darkness come.
I’m sorry, but there’s no contradiction between being humble and proclaiming truth boldly, despite what many Catholics think. Too many Catholics have been conditioned (indeed, brainwashed) to give far too much difference to ecclesiastical authority. Jesus never did. Read about his conflicts with the Pharisees, especially Matthew 23.
I’m confused how you believe you advance Catholicism with this nonsense.
It's very coincidental that this Friday within the Octave of Easter landed on April 25, traditionally the day of the Greater Litanies or Major Rogations.
Pray, pray, pray for God’s mercy and let’s conform to God’s will!
If you really know what “God’s will” is, please share it with us heathens. It’s surely not what religious leaders spew forth.
If you’re a heathen your doubtful nature is your obstacle, ask God to help you overcome your difficulties. Being negative or attacking the truth won’t help you at your judgment.

I've heard it said that God's will is for us to be holy.
Only God can judge who is holy. Aren’t you tired of all this?

Burying your head in the sand is not an act of Holiness.

Thank you for your well thought out reply.
o my Goodness! what is this? where is God in all this darkness? when you read this the fruit is no hope. I don't really like it
